Mahogany (Cedro)

The Wood:

Straight-grained, wavy, curly, and mottled grain. Soft with a moderately coarse texture. Easy to work. Density 500kg/m3.

The Tree:

May reach 200 feet (30m) in height with a buttressed trunk up to 72 inches (1.8m) in diameter. Bole may be 40-60 feet (12-18m).

Light red with darker and lighter shading

Cabinets, cigar boxes, lead pencils, boat building, pattern wood, furniture, doors
